The Pine Grosbeaks have been regular visitors at the feeder this winter. WE enjoy their beautiful dusty rose coloring and their gentle songs. We also have lots of Chickadees, Woodpeckers who love peanut butter, Redpolls, Blue Jays, Gray Jays and Pileated Woodpeckers in the cedar trees. IT won't be long before the birds of Spring will be arriving! Posted by Hello

Winter storm on us today!

Happy Valentine's Day ! We are in the midst of a winter storm today. Snow is blowing in from the east and we are inside nice and cozy. Some ice fishermen are braving the elements and have ventured out to spend the day in the ice hut. -19C this morning, but heading to +4C in the afternoon. Not enough to melt any of our ice though! Think Spring!! Posted by Hello
